Head of Area Manufacturing Planning

Purpose of Role

Provide regional coordination and sponsorship for the Manufacturing Excellence agenda, identification and development of regional optimization opportunities, asset network planning and investment, annual planning activities with the Special Business Units as well as regular site performance monitoring to assist the region in achieving leading edge performance. Manage Area Manufacturing Planning team.

Responsibilities

• Manage Area Manufacturing team and continuously seek to improve team contribution to regional performance
• Monitor SHE, operational and cost performance of all regional sites in support of monthly and quarterly performance challenge sessions
• Regularly report overall performance vs. plan to SBUs to ensure transparency and highlight areas for corrective action as appropriate
• Identify, validate and develop site integration and optimization opportunities
• Develop and maintain the regional asset network development plan and liaise with SBUs to prioritize development, 1-3 year planning and funding
• Act as a focal point for coordinating site annual budgets and distribution to the appropriate SBU
• Coordinate implementation of the Manufacturing Excellence agenda and monitor compliance
• Maintain the regional turnaround schedule working with the SBUs to adjust turnaround timing as well as representing the regional resource requirements to ensure a value maximizing decision for SABIC
• Represent regional opportunities in BU and Value Teams and coordinate Site involvement as needed
• Support Manufacturing Director and Sites in area talent planning and development
• Coordinate with the Manufacturing Competence Center to resolve competing priorities when needed
• Monitor and report capabilities development and potential gaps
• Ensure appropriate services from Corporate organizations

Education & Training

• Engineering Graduate

Experience

• At least 12 years experience with substantial exposure to operational and technical activities

Competencies

• Understanding of plant operations chemical processes
• Understanding of Planning processes and project management
• Understanding of finance and budgeting
• Capable leader known for bringing out the best in subordinates
