The Logging while Drilling (LWD) division of Client has an immediate opening for a Senior Petrophysicist based in Abu Dhabi. The primary function of this position will be to support the division's business in the Middle East and provide an integrated formation evaluation service whilst also coaching a team of Log Analyst and Petrophysicist.
• Knowledge
Posses an excellent knowledge and understanding of logging tools and their log responses. Have a solid petrophysical background. Show strong leadership, organizational and inter-personnel skills and be proven self starter. Committed to train others to an advanced level of petrophysics. Demonstrate the ability to interact with peers in Oil Companies, discuss and disseminate client logging programs. Should have had some sales and negotiation skills experience. The candidate should have familiarity with common petrophysical software packages, and be able to understand, explain, analyse, and interpret advanced formation evaluation instruments. Training will be provided where required.

The ideal candidate should have a strong vocational drive and a desire to further develop a focused, technical career within the Division / Client Geoscience structure.
B.Sc. in an Earth Science or related Engineering discipline with a minimum 15+ years experience in wire line / LWD formation evaluation. Some cased hole logging experience would be advantageous.
Fluency in written and spoken English. Arabic is a plus but not a necessity.
