Job description

JOB OBJECTIVES

  • Co-ordinate the QA/QC activities to meet Company objectives for Asset Information Management,
  • Ensure that QA/QC activities are executed competently,
  • Ensure, by monitoring, auditing and guiding the Quality Assurance and Quality Control activities relating to Asset InformationManagement are delivered with no defects to the NLNG Production Division and/or others.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Overall co-ordination of QA and QC activities in the PEA Section for all Engineering Disciplines,
  • Verify that QA and QC activities are executed in accordance with the requirements stipulated in the SAIM module of Gas-GAME, applicable Engineering Standards and with first class skill and workmanship,
  • Develop and maintain for Asset Information Management the QA/QC Definitions, Policies, Strategies, Procedures, Guidelines, Work Instructions,
  • Schedule and execute regular QA/QC internal audits and audits of PEA Engineering Service Contractor(s),
  • Provide input to the development of an AIM Model in close co-operation with the Senior Engineer for Engineering Data Management,
  • Contribute to developing and maintaining Planning for QA/QC aspects of Asset Information Management:
    Short term (2 years): Develop and implement QA/QC Management of the SAIM module up to level 6 (minimum requirement of Gas-GAME),
    Long term: Develop and implement QA/QC Management of the SAIM module up to level 9,
  • Implement contract strategies for Engineering Service Contract(s) in line with work volumes in QA/QC Management to cater for elimination of backlog in document upgrades and “As Built” within 2 years from 01/01/10,
  • Provide input to scope definition/description of QA/QC Management part in any Engineering Service Contract. Play active role in inquiries for pre-qualifications and implementation phase, evaluations of submissions and award of Engineering Service Contract(s),
  • Ensure that Engineering Service Contract deliverables are verified against requirement before NLNG acceptance,
  • Implement the HSE Policies and Procedures to assure maximum benefits for staff health, safety and the environment,
  • Oversee the QA/QC activities related to Asset Information Management to ensure effective planning and execution of all QA/QC activities.This includes QC of definitions in the Common Directory and ensuring alignment with NLNG and International Standards,
  • Assist PEA peers in day-to-day QA/QC activities. Co-ordinate and assist in compliance reviews,
  • Ensure consistent QA/QC interpretation of the Asset Information Management module of Gas-GAME. Where deviations are encountered, develop win-win solutions for NLNG and Engineering sevice Contractors to mitigate any adverse effects on Asset Information Manament implementation,
  • Support training and development in all QA/QC aspects of the work. Assist is assuring the quality and consistency of QA/QC activities in training and Personal Development Plans,
  • Co-ordinate the QA/QC performance of PEA Engineering Service Contractors. Identify opportunities for improvement for the QA/QC monitoring of PEA Engineering Service Contractors,
  • Co-ordinate the implementation of QA/QC methods ensuring, inspecting and recording of Method Statements and other QA/QC documents,
  • Co-ordinate and assist the review of the QA/QC issues of the implementation of Asset Information Management: Queries, Requests for Waivers and Non Conformance Reports,
  • Assist in hand-over activities to ensure proper and complete PEA close-out and smooth re-inegration of PEA into PEO in the first quarter of 2012,
  • Liase with STARDOM.

Applicant criteria

  • B.Sc. degree in an engineering science or equivalent,
  • Certified Lead Quality Auditor. Experience
  • An equivalent of 15 years post graduation experience in the international oil and gas industry, out of which at least 5 years in QA/QC, document management in process industry, maintenance and/or similar oil & gas industry projects.

Start Date: Per Direct
Contract: Contract for minimum of two years, renewable.

Compensation: Actual compensation will depend on extent of experience in the specific field of activity,
Working hours: 10 hours/day, 5½ days/week,
Rotation scenario: 91/17, return tickets to home country provided by company.
